Resident Evil VS Batman

Resident Evil VS Batman
Batman Resident Evil 2

Don’t you want to feel chills creep down your spinal cord within the first ten seconds of playing a video game?  I do.  I want to not sleep for a week because the sounds of that gaming experience are running wild through my brain.  I want to be engulfed by this would.

Who wouldn’t pay to feel this rush?

Which brings up our topic of discussion:  Which voice did it better?

Batman Vs ZombiesOur contenders:  The intro voice to Resident Evil 2 versus Christian Bale’s Batman.

Get ready gang, we’re going to create fractions here.  Friendships will be lost, hearts broken, classic Bale jokes shall be made, Resident Evil shall rise again!

Let’s get to it – top 3 things that make the intro voice in Resident Evil 2 EPIC.

1.  He puts the trailer movie guy’s voice to shame.

No really he does.  Imagine if the Resident Evil voice introduced movies.  How bleeping awesome would that be?  That One Direction flick could have made a lot more money that’s all I’m saying.  Honestly, his voice could sell toothpaste.

2.  He might be British.

Who else do we know who is British?  Double-O-Bond.  Not saying these two are connected, but obviously those Brit’s have a meaty resume backing their talent.  Experience matters. This voice has been around if you know what I mean.

3.  He might be Bond.

Come to think of it, while playing the game we never know who this voice belongs to right?  Fellow zombie killers help us, who does this voice belong too and does he appear in the game beyond credits?  No, right?  Which means… he could really be Bond.  There it is again.  It always comes back to that, doesn’t it?

Top 3 things that can be said about Christian Bale’s Batman voice that no one says enough:

1.  “Pray to me!”

Ummm yeah.  When Bale said this line the entire religious foundations knee trembled.  This guy had a command over his voice like no other.  Really, that scene should have been the whole trailer for Batman Begins.

2.  He doesn’t have nodes which is kind of superhuman of him at this point.

For those who don’t know, nodes are a common vocal cord crippler.  How is it possible Bale doesn’t have this?  Oh, wait… I bet it’s because he’s Batman.  Yeah I kind of walked into that one didn’t I?

3.  His voice will forever be remembered as THE Batman voice – looking at you Affleck.

Think about it, his voice gave sooo many adoring fans the chance to mimic him and develop nodes!  What other voice can you say that about?  Still looking at you Affleck.  Sigh.

And the winner is...

If these two were to have a debate in public I’m afraid the winner would be Resident Evil just because we’d understand a lot more of what was said BUTTTTTT after the debate Batman would punch him through the face and as a result of death be titled the winner.

What do you think?  Let’s take a vote on this.  Who wins the battle in this dynamic duo?
