Unleash Your Inner Cat Lady with CatLand

CatLand allows you to turn your phone into a furry companion

Cats don't just own the internet - they own the world. So it should come as no surprise that there's a Kickstarter campaign to turn your phone into a furry feline companion. CatLand will allow you to have a virtual cat on your phone that you can feed and take care of.

No, really.

If you donate to the Kickstarter campaign for CatLand, in which developers Lost and Found Games are seeking a measly $15k, you could make this virtual virtual kitty a real virtual kitty. By checking into real-world locations on the CatLand mobile game, you help keep your little pet entertained, engaged and away from a shallow grave.

Joking aside, CatLand is a Tamagotchi for the kids of the modern world, along with any adults who don't have pets or entirely too much time on their hands -or maybe those people who would like to take their cat everywhere with them, but don't want to look like weirdos. Whatever the case, CatLand could prove to be a hot mobile sensation if Lost and Found Games meets their goal.

Your virtual kitty in CatLand will have a lot to keep him/her busy. There will be customizable and collectible outfits and lots of interactive pet behavior between you and your fake kitty. You can finally have a feline comapnion that actually interacts with the real world, learns your habits and reflects your personality. Real-world location check-in allows you to pop into a restaurant to give it a tasty treat. If you go to the library, you can equip her with new skills. Take your kitty to the gym to keep her strong. The possibilities are endless.

Kickstarter perks include unique in-game backgrounds, special edition CatLand smartphone cases, unique breeds of in-game cats and a meeting with the development team.
